My day started like it always has, I take nutrients, break it down and create rich energy molecules for the cell. I am also known as the powerhouse of the cell. If you don't understand what I do, think of me as the digestive system for a cell. I enjoy my job because I can move freely around the cell. Just for some of you that might not know I am in both a plant and animal cell.

One thing you might not know is that I am actually made of two membranes. My day goes great in my cell. I'm happy that I know that I help out to keep the cell alive. I am a very special because I have my own ribosomes. Isn't that just really cool! I have just had another normal day making energy.
